The project “Countering Violent Extremism among Young People in Macedonia” focuses on the complementarity of the immediate consequences and effects in Macedonia of the waves of migration and the influx of refugees in recent years on one hand, and the phenomena of radicalization and violent extremism among individuals across different religions and belief systems on another.
The purpose of the project is to promote the principles of good governance (accountability, transparency, participation, efficiency and coherence) through enhanced influence of civil society organizations (CSOs) in the processes of evaluation of public policies and decision making.
FISCAST: Building capacity and tools for fiscal accountability, sustainability and transparency in Macedonia” is aimed to improve the capacity of civil society and media to contribute to evidence-based economic dialogue in the country, enabling more participatory and transparent policymaking, with strong focus on fiscal policymaking; and, second, to increase the public awareness for the process of spending public money.
